This is an ECITB qualification and we are 1 of a handful of companies offering it across England. Moreover, Think Construction Skills is the only provider for ECITB NVQs in Essex and the most local company to London.

This NVQ provides the construction worker with a choice of two pathways:

  • ECITB Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Construction Lifting, Positioning and Installing Structures, Plant and Equipment (RQF) – Erecting Pathway
  • ECITB Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Construction Lifting, Positioning and Installing Structures, Plant and Equipment (RQF) – Rigging Pathway

If you take the 2-day safety passport course, you will be eligible for the ECITB ACE Card.

Who Is Eligible for NVQ Funding?

NVQ funding is designed to support construction workers and employers who are registered with CITB and meet the eligibility criteria. It helps both individuals and teams on construction sites by reducing the cost of achieving an industry-recognised qualification.

The ECITB Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Construction Lifting, Positioning, and Installing Structures, Plant, and Equipment is designed for individuals pursuing careers in the engineering construction industry, specifically in roles involving erecting and rigging. This qualification is suitable for those aiming to demonstrate technical competence in safely and effectively lifting, positioning, and installing structures, plant, and equipment. It is ideal for professionals seeking to enhance their skills and career prospects in these specialised areas.

To renew a Gold CSCS Card, it is mandatory to hold a construction-related NVQ or SVQ Level 3 qualification. This requirement applies regardless of prior experience. The CSCS stipulates that all cardholders must achieve the relevant qualifications to ensure they meet current industry standards.

  • Obtain an NVQ Level 6: Complete an NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management, demonstrating your skills and knowledge.
  • Get a Black CSCS Card: Achieve the NVQ Level 6 qualification to be eligible for the Black CSCS card, which is necessary for Managing onsite.
  • Meet Additional Requirements: Fulfil other requirements, such as relevant work experience and passing the CITB Health, Safety, and Environment Test.

Assessments for this NVQ are conducted through ECITB’s Approved Centres, such as Think Construction Skills. Learners must enrol with us to undertake the qualification. A list of approved centres is available on the ECITB website, enabling candidates to select a centre that best fits their geographical and professional needs.

Think Construction Skills is the only centre to provide this NVQ in Essex and the closest centre to London.
