There are two types of gold CSCS cards available, which are, Advanced Craft and Supervisory. This level of card requires an NVQ level 3 or 4, depending on the route you take, whether that is the advanced craft (level 3) or supervisory (level 3 or 4). Having a valid level 3 NVQ, is the equivalent of having 2 A Levels and portrays a higher level of competence. If you have your level 4 NVQ and you are applying for the gold supervisors’ card, then this level is equivalent to a Higher Education Certificate/BTEC.
This article will set out to explain both the aforementioned types of cards, what they are, how you can get them, and any other relevant information that you will need when you embark upon a gold CSCS card.
